The value of the information inside the course is determined differently by each individual who purchased Mass Control.

He does have great knowledge on how to engineer launches and how to get people to buy your products, but not everyone is going to be able to replicate that. Frank Kern: How To Sell Products Online

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

Watch this Frank Kern video and learn how to sell products online.  If you plan on selling a product online, one of the main things you’ll want to focus on is learning how to create a search engine friendly website so people can find your site.

After all…. No traffic means no sales and definitely no profits.

Don’t ever try to sell a product online until you are sure your web host provides website creation and marketing support.

Setting Up Your Site is The Easy Part

People get so concerned with how their website design will look and how they are going to collect payments, setup their online shopping cart, etc. These days that’s the easy part.

What’s more important is that you choose a web host that helps with online marketing so you don’t end up with a store that receives no traffic.

Selling products with a website is not just about creating your online store and letting your website sit out in cyberspace expecting people to stumble upon your site and buy something.

It is absolutely crucial that you understand how to get your website ranked high in MSN, Google and Yahoo. This will be vital to your success and people often underestimate the importance of this.

Most web hosts don’t even help you with marketing. It’s not in their business model to help you promote your site and help sell products. They are simply there to host it on their servers.

So what happens is people often pay their hard-earned money to build this outstanding online store with a fancy design, and there isn’t a visitor to be found. What they don’t realize is that they’ve failed before they even began because they’ve chosen the wrong host.

You won’t fail if you follow my advice below. I am confident of this because I use this web host and recommend to everyone I know who wants to sell something on the Internet.

Use Site Build It - No Other Host Compares

Read this Site Build It review.  Site Build It is a web host committed to not only helping you build your website, but it shows you how to optimize it for the major search engines as well as build other traffic streams so you sell products.

Go to SBI’s website and see how they differ the average web host. You’ll quickly discover why 99% of the people that try to sell products do it wrong. If you choose SBI, you’ll get it right the first time.

Accepting Credit Cards From Your Store

Accepting credit cards is a must for online commerce. I recommend you use Paypal as your merchant. It’s pretty easy to setup.

With Paypal, you don’t have to rent or purchase any equipment because they take the orders for you and then send your revenue directly to your bank account. They take a small percentage of every order you receive.

This is MUCH more convenient than having to apply for a business license, rent out the equipment and handle all the orders yourself. PayPal makes it quick and easy.

Creating and Selling an Information Product
An information product (or infoproduct) is just what the name suggests. It’s a product full of information.

These days, many info products come in the form of eBooks — which stands for “electronic books”. This means your customer can download your book right from your web site and read it from their PC.

eBooks are convenient because you don’t have to worry about shipping and handling. Once you create it and upload it to your site, it’s ready for instant download by your customers.

With this method, you don’t have to worry about shipping and handling costs, and your customers are happy because they can download their product as soon as the sale is made.

An infoproduct can also come in the form of plain old information. You don’t necessarily have to sell an ebook. If you have the knowledge on a certain subject that you’d like to share, you can still make money with pure content and affiliate programs.  So watch this Frank Kern video and Learn how to sell products online.

Frank Kern Products: Find Something To Sell

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

In these Frank Kern products videos, learn how to find something to sell.  In times, finding the right market to pursue is the hardest part of starting your store. Here are 5 things to consider when choosing which market segment to attack.

Choose an Area or Set of Products That You Are Passionate About
Many people make the mistake of opening a store and selling a product just because a particular product is hot. If a product is hot, chances are there will be lots of competition and unless you are truly passionate about what you are selling, you will not be able to differentiate your store from your competitors.

Having expertise in your products will also allow you to easily distinguish good and bad products when deciding what to carry in your store. The ability to write in depth reviews and product descriptions about items you love will instill confidence in a buyer as well.

Most importantly, selling products that you love will provide you with the necessary confidence and determination to persevere. For the first 6 months after the launch of our online store, we were only making about 100 dollars a week in revenues. But because we were passionate about our products and the added value we provided to customers, we were able to stick it out until business started picking up. The first 6-12 months in the life of your store is the toughest time. You will feel despair, anguish and remorse when business is slow or nonexistent. If you don’t feel strongly in what you are selling, you won’t make it through.

Choose a Market Segment That Has Room to Grow
Even though you may be extremely passionate about a particular product or set of products doesn’t necessarily mean that you can make money from it. For example, if my passion happened to be edible insects, even if I cornered the edible insect market, there might not be enough edible insect aficionados out there to support my business and overhead costs. Ideally, you want to choose a large target market of which you can conquer a small niche. This will allow some room for your business to expand as the money starts rolling in.

Pick a Product That is Generally Hard To Find
If you just sit down and think about it, you can probably come up with at least a dozen items that you need right off the top of your head that you wish you had but can’t easily find in any store. Just the other day, I was looking to buy a full length sunscreen for the back window of my car so that the sun wouldn’t get into my baby’s eyes. You would not believe how difficult this was to find. In fact, after a weeks worth of searching, I still haven’t found one that suits my needs.

If you have problems coming up with anything, the best way to brainstorm is to take a vacation to another country and look around. As you are traveling, look for items that aren’t available in your home country and make a note of it. While you are there, go the extra mile and look up local manufacturers of that product and talk to them directly. Find out what the pricing of their product is in bulk and inquire if they will ship to your home country. When tax time rolls around, go ahead and expense your entire vacation in the name of your business!

Pick a Product That Has High Margins
Ultimately you should follow where your passion takes you, but it certainly helps to sell a product that has high margins or a greater perceived value. Items that are handcrafted or personalized will carry a much larger premium whereas technology items tend to face constant margin pressure and price drops over the lifetime of the product. I would tend to stay away from tech products in general unless you can add significant value or can get special pricing from the manufacturer. Tech items are generally more popular so you will definitely face fierce competition. Coupled with the fact that as technology becomes obsolete, you may end up with useless, unsellable items on your shelves.

Choose a Market Where You Have Connections
If you have relatives or friends that run successful businesses, make sure you use them as a resource. People with existing businesses probably have a pretty good idea of what will and will not make money in their particular area of expertise. Furthermore, they probably have lots of good ideas that they’ve thought up in the past but never had the time to pursue. The key is not be afraid to ask questions. You’d be surprised how helpful even total strangers can be.  Watch these Frank Kern products videos and learn how to find something to sell.

Frank Kern: Sell Products Online

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

Watch Frank Kern teach you about the proper way to sell products online. One of the things you will learn when watching this video is that the mark of a true salesman is how personable his attitude is. How likeable you are can really make or break a sale nowadays. This obviously applies to face-to-face transactions, but did you know that the same rule applies when you are trying to sell products online? It’s true - you may be in cyberspace, miles and miles away from potential customers, but that doesn’t mean you have license to be a grouch, or to show indifference towards your products. Even online customers can sense poor salesmanship from a world away.

Showing the right attitude on the web, however, is not really a gruelling challenge. This is especially true now that venues for social media have become larger and far more accommodating for salesmen. The marketplace has truly grown over the past couple of years, and online shopping has really evolved into something that can fully compare with face-to-face transactions.

Here are a few tips on showing the right attitude when trying to sell products online:

Write copy in a conversational tone.

When you are typing up your copy for your online advertisements and your website, be careful with the tone of your writing. Always make sure that it is conversational, something that a lot of people will be comfortable with and can easily relate to. Don’t be too hard-sell. Don’t say, “Buy my product for Reason A, Reason B, and Reason C! Don’t hesitate! This will change your life!” That kind of stuff can just fly past people’s heads. Instead, start with an innocent question like, “How do you feel about X? From there, you can discuss the benefits of your product as if you were telling a story.

Take time to do individual email transactions.

It may be tempting to just sell products online without really getting to know your customers, but this should definitely be avoided. When setting up transactions with people, try to do so via your email instead of some cold messenger service on your website that makes use of stock text. Talk directly with your customer. Ask them how their days have been. Tell them a little more about yourself. The marketplace may have moved into virtual reality, but that does not mean that those nice relationships between friendly neighborhood shopkeepers and their customers have to fade into oblivion.

If people have complaints, do not evade them.

You have to keep a cool head as a salesman, and this still applies when you sell products online. Like it or not, but some of your customers may return to your site with some complaints. Such situations are truly beyond anyone’s control. However, just because you are online does not give you license to ignore your customers. It may be easy to just look away from the laptop screen or click to another tab on your browser, but you are still a salesman, and it is still your responsibility to cater to your customers’ every need, no matter what those needs are.

Remember: Just moving from one venue to another does not take anything away from what a winning salesman’s attitude should be. The tradition of being the best person you can be remains strong and significant. Now watch Frank Kern teach you about the proper way to sell products online.

Frank Kern Videos: Worst Sales Pitch

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

After you watch these Frank Kern videos and learn about the worst sales pitches, learn about the best techniques. Part of the sales management role is to oversee the marketing efforts of your team. How many times has it happened to you that your team has worked very hard on a big sales pitch, thought they had won it and celebrated prematurely only to find out later that someone else won? It happened to my team a lot and no matter what you say or do after wards, the morale of your team plummets to a new low. No one had the foresight to see some complication or neglected detail would stuff the whole deal up. Is there anything that can be done to minimize the chances of failure of a well worked out sales pitch?

There is and they’re very simple steps you can use to lead your team to success. Over the years I learned a technique that involves 4 simple steps. The first one is:

Know your customer.

The easiest way to do this is to talk to your customers. Find out things like what their needs are, what they expect to get out of working with you but don’t mention costs or prices or anything money related. Involve them in your brainstorming sessions, ask them for their input. If they’re unable to come to you, you go to them or hold a video or phone conference. The whole idea is to bounce ideas off them to see if you are on the right track with your sales pitch. Believe me, they will appreciate the extra effort you put in and then this way, the business is yours technically without even having the final presentation. It works!

Do your research.

I learned my lesson on this point the hard way one day and I never felt more like a total idiot than I did on that day. I went into a sales presentation very well prepared…..but it was on the wrong product! They wanted all of their office phones updated not mobile phones. If I had of read the brief properly and researched what the company does, I would have known what they were after. It was a telemarketing company so they have no real need of hundreds of mobile phones in the office. It’s always a good idea to find out as much as you can about a company through phone calls, internet, focus groups, and off course, talking to the prospects themselves. You have to know EXACTLY what they need and the only way to do that, is to research.

Under promise and over deliver.

The worst thing you can do while giving a sales pitch is to say ‘yes we can do everything.’ There are always going to be somethings that they need that you can’t do. What’s going to WOW a customer more, a ‘yes’ company that says they can deliver everything or a company that under promises and over delivers? You always should keep something under your sleeve because you never know when you might need it. if you want a long term relationship with the customer, this method is very effective in helping your team do that.

Pitch to the decision maker.

This one really is the first rule of a sales presentation. Whats the point of going to all the trouble of delivering a sales pitch only to be told at the end of it that the person who decides these things isn’t in the room? What a waste of valuable time and energy. If you are going to go to all the trouble of delivering a sales presentation, make sure the decision maker is in the room with you. The last thing you want to do is to go through the same thing more than once if ts not absolutely necessary.

The ultimate goal here is to establish a personal connection between you and your client. By doing this you build an emotional and intellectual bond. Obviously, your role here is to oversee your team so you wouldn’t do all these things on your own but you would delegate certain responsibilities to team members. Give these simple steps a go and you will be surprised at the results. Try this only if you want to win the sales pitch every time.
